Angola: Cabinda - General Furtado Defends Resolution of Troops' Problems

The Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) Staff Chief general Francisco Pereira Furtado, advocated last Friday in Cabinda (2nd Military Region) the need for major engagement of the commanders and high structures of FAA in the resolution of the various problems faced by the troops.
Gen. Furtado, who chaired the closing ceremony of FAA top officials' first meeting held in the headquarters of the 2nd Military Region on February 8-10, commended the level of the discussions and depth which the participants analysed the scheduled points.

"The meeting, besides making a balance of the activities carried out in the 2006/2007 period, in various areas and specialities of the FAA, also put into perspective main guidelines for 2007/2008", he informed.
Francisco Pereira Furtado appealed to the necessity of improving the conditions of the troops, in the fields of construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of military infrastructures, aiming at providing betters conditions of accommodation to the military to elevate their moral state, combative preparation and patriotic education.
