Sixty percent of Angolans drink inappropriate water

LUANDA, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Sixty percent of Angolan population drink and use inappropriate water in their multiple domestic needs, reported the Angola Press Wednesday.
In order to reverse the situation the government has to build and repair all infrastructures destroyed by the war that devastated the country for decades, the report quoted Elsa Ramos, head of the National Department of Water, as saying in Kuito, Angola's central Bie Province.
She said that four years after the conflict in Angola, the central government is doing its best to secure the supply of appropriate water to the populations, no matter where they are.
The official appealed to the population to contribute with their knowledge to help restore normalcy the earliest. Enditem
